Person To Person

A ground-breaking film that set the standard for sexuality education of persons with cognitive challenges.

Person To Person shows the techniques of expert educators as they demonstrate leading groups that will provide information on topics such as menstrual hygiene, personal space and safety issues, appropriate behaviors on the job and in public places, and marriage for people with special needs.

This film will demonstrate to you that sex education can make a difference! The target audience includes parents, siblings, employers, community health professionals, teachers, and direct care staff. Person to Person will assist its viewers in becoming more comfortable with the topic of sex education and how it can be presented to persons with cognitive challenges.

It will increase the viewer's skill in conducting sexuality education programs for young and older adults who have different training needs, in a variety of settings. It will sensitize the viewer to the fact that, disability or not, all of us are sexual beings with desires for privacy, respect, and caring and safe relationships.

Person To Person will offer parents and caregivers more effective ways to answer questions and expand knowledge so that their students and children will grow into responsible adults. The viewer will be warmed by the human stories that unfold and by the conversations of parents as they share their experiences throughout the film. Watching this film with a group of motivated participants (eg. family members, staffers) will be an opportunity to discuss and share concerns and experiences with others in similar situations.

It is a great resource that will remind viewers of the benefits of sexuality education for those individuals they support.
